Episode 5: My story of leadership.

Welcome to Episode 5! This week, we discuss the third FREE self assessment tool on our website: My Story of Leadership.

For us in The Middle Space, leadership, equity and change are truly interconnected. If you’re in a leadership role of any kind today, it’s highly likely you’re leading change in some way shape or form. And similarly, if you’re a leader today we would hope you are considering questions in your leadership of how to make your community or workplace more equitable. Lastly, if you’re a person interested in bringing about change of any kind, it’s highly likely you’re a leader in your space, so leadership, equity and change are truly a three-legged stool.

In this episode of The Middle Space podcast, we discuss what leadership means to each of us and the experiences that have shaped our view. We talk about the role and impact of being authentic and vulnerable in our leadership, the degree to which we are open to exploring and challenging our personal thoughts and beliefs - and how important this ability is, as part of our leadership. We discuss the extent to which we lead by stepping forward with eyes set firmly on the past and our different perspectives on the past.
